What Is Carbon Steel Pipe Vs Carbon Steel Tube
Pipes and tubes are common piping modules in the carbon steel grade and can be used interchangeably in the system. These components can be differentiated based on certain features.

  • A carbon steel pipe can only be shaped in circular cross-sections. Tubes in the carbon steel grade can be shaped in circular, rectangular, and square cross-sectional areas.
  • Carbon pipes require special equipment to be precisely shaped. Carbon steel tubes can be easily bent or shaped using normal equipment.
  • Steel tubes of the carbon grade are more rigid and strong when compared to steel pipes in the carbon grade.
  • Carbon tubes can be produced by the hot and cold rolling process. Pipes can only be manufactured by the hot rolling process.
