Nickel 200 Plate vs Sheet
Plates and sheets are equally ambiguous and can be distinguished based on their thickness.
- A nickel 200 plate is designed with a thickness of above 6mm and can extend up to 150mm. The versatile grade of plates adds stability and provides strength to different components across stress-induced setups.
- Nickel 200 sheets are designed in thickness of less than 6mm but above 0.5mm. Sheets in this grade are used to add an aesthetical appeal to different applications. They focus less on providing stability and more on weight-saving.

Nickel 200 Foil vs UNS N02200 Coil
The metal in the nickel grade can be shaped in the form of foils and coils amongst some of the shapes. Both these components can be distinguished based on certain features.
- Nickel 200 foil is the thinnest metal grade in this range. These foils are rolled and hammered and are available in thickness less than 0.2mm. The versatile modules are employed to cover and protect material during heat treatment and against corrosive media.
- UNS N02200 coil is a metal grade that is coiled or wound after the rolling stage. The coils in this grade are available in thickness between 1.2mm up to 20mm. These coils can be transported efficiently to be sheared into different products.

What is Pure Ni Alloy 200 Cold Rolled Plate and IS NW 2200 Hot Rolled Plate
The plates in the nickel grade can be produced in hot and cold rolling processes.
- IS NW 2200 hot rolled plate is formed by processing the metal at high temperatures till the metal reaches its recrystallization state. This allows subsequent components to be formed efficiently. Pure Ni alloy 200A cold rolled plate is processed at room temperatures soon after the hot rolling process.
- Hot rolled plates have slightly rounded edges. Cold rolled plates are formed with a sharp and precise finish.
- The aesthetical appeal of nickel alloy cold rolled plates is far superior to hot rolled plates.
- The strength and tolerance in cold formed plates is greater than that of hot rolled plates.
